The products offered on MCZDirect come from international import channels, from markets located outside Europe.
Manufacturers generally apply their warranties by geographic area or continent. Therefore, for products imported outside the European distribution channel, a European manufacturer warranty is generally not applicable.
This is precisely why MCZDirect directly handles the warranty for products sold on its website through a MCZDirect seller warranty.
In the event of a fault covered by the warranty, our aim is to organise after-sales service locally, as close as possible to our customers, in order to avoid the inconvenience of sending the product back to Hong Kong.
Who provides the MCZ DIRECT warranty?
The MCZ DIRECT seller warranty is handled by MCZ DIRECT, also written as MCZDirect, MCZDIRECT or MCZ Direct, a trading name operated by MTL Global Commerce & Solutions Limited.
This seller warranty is separate from a European manufacturer warranty. Its purpose is to give customers clear, centralised warranty handling directly through our customer service team.

How to make a warranty request
1. Contact us
Email contact@mczdirect.com with your order number, product model and a clear description of the issue.
2. Initial diagnosis
We check with you whether the issue can be solved through simple tests, settings, handling steps or an update.
3. Service approval
If a repair is required, we confirm the warranty handling and provide the procedure before any shipment.
4. Local repair
A practical solution: we prioritise a workshop or repair centre near you to make the process easier to follow.
5. Case follow-up
We follow the request with you and, if the fault is covered, we handle the repair according to the warranty conditions.
6. Product return
Once the repair is completed, you receive your repaired product according to the arrangements agreed with our customer service team.
What the MCZDirect warranty covers
The MCZDirect seller warranty covers manufacturing defects identified during normal use of the product, from the invoice date.
Defective parts
Replacement or repair of parts presenting a defect covered by the warranty.
Labour
Labour costs are covered when the fault is confirmed as covered by the warranty.
Customer follow-up
Email support throughout the handling of your request.
Shipping costs and product return
The cost of shipping the product to the indicated repair centre or workshop is borne by the customer.
When the fault is covered by the MCZDirect warranty, the return of the repaired product is covered by MCZDirect.

Warranty exclusions
The MCZDirect warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting in particular from the following situations:
- Improper use of the product.
- Impacts, drops, shocks, breakage, accidental or intentional damage.
- Sand, dust, dirt, humidity, water ingress, corrosion or contamination.
- Battery leakage.
- Fire, theft, attempted theft, vandalism, war, terrorism or exceptional external events.
- Freezing, flooding, strong winds, storms, earthquakes or extreme weather conditions.
- Exposure to humidity or extreme temperatures.
- Misuse, improper storage or incorrect handling.
- Damage related to product cleaning, including dust, sensor, lenses or optical elements.
- Use of an unsuitable power source or incorrect voltage.
- Failure to follow the instructions provided with the product or by the manufacturer.
- Negligence, modification, disassembly or unauthorised repair.
- Use of parts, accessories, batteries, chargers, software or components not recommended by the manufacturer.
- Alteration, illegibility or modification of the serial number.
- Connection to equipment, accessories, software or networks not approved by the manufacturer.
- Repair or cleaning carried out with unsuitable tools or incorrect procedures.
- Attempting to open the product body for self-repair.
- Loss or damage to data.
- LCD screen damage caused by misuse.
- Damage caused by inappropriate packaging when shipping the product.
- Damage resulting from the use of waterproof cameras or housings beyond the recommended depths.
- Dead pixels not reported within 14 days of receiving the item.
Note about third-party lenses
MCZDirect covers repairs resulting from manufacturing defects in the product sold, under the conditions of this warranty.
Issues related to the use of third-party lenses, incompatible accessories or body/lens combinations requiring specific adjustments are not covered when they do not result from a defect in the product sold by MCZDirect.
In the event of focusing, compatibility or performance issues with a third-party lens, it may be necessary to use the available micro-adjustment tools or have the camera body and lens inspected by the relevant manufacturers.
MCZDirect warranty extension
2-year warranty extension
The MCZDirect warranty extension provides an additional two years of coverage, added to the initial 3-year seller warranty included with the purchase of the product.
The total warranty period is therefore extended to 5 years from the purchase date of the equipment.
This extension:
- is linked to the product to which it applies;
- cannot be purchased separately;
- can be transferred to a third party if the equipment is resold;
- cannot be renewed at the end of its term.
It covers the replacement of defective parts as well as labour, in accordance with the standard MCZDirect warranty conditions.
The applicable exclusions are identical to those of the initial warranty.

Do I have to send my product back to Hong Kong?
No. A local solution will be provided to avoid the inconvenience of sending the product back to Hong Kong.
Does the European manufacturer warranty apply?
Generally no, because the products are imported from markets located outside Europe. MCZDirect therefore handles the warranty through its seller warranty.
Can I send my product directly for repair?
No. You must first contact MCZDirect to obtain warranty approval and instructions adapted to your situation.
Does the warranty cover accidental damage?
