This is my second purchase from MCZ and the same performance again, a good standard of service, a serious and efficient seller. One piece of advice: pay by bank transfer, as it allows you to benefit from a small discount and avoid bank charges when paying by bank card.

First purchase at MCZ Direct

Discovering MCZ, I was therefore a little apprehensive. The equipment comes from far away, so I had lots of questions: transport, customs... In the end, there were no problems at all and everything went satisfactorily. The available equipment was dispatched very quickly and, of course, was fully in line with MCZ's promise. Overall, MCZ's service is excellent; only the French carrier (DPD) should improve and respect delivery dates. After this first successful experience, I became a genuine MCZ customer and went on to make two other purchases, with the same level of satisfaction each time.

THE LENS ARRIVED ON TIME AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION

I bought this lens already knowing its quality. I am a professional photographer and, among other competitions, I photograph MotoGP. Although it is not at the level of a 400mm f/2.8, the price difference is so large that buying the 180-600mm makes sense because the image quality is excellent and the autofocus speed is satisfying.

Excellent experience! The ordering process was simple, fast, and no problems. My Canon R6 Mark III, the extra battery, and the SD card all arrived quickly, well packaged, and in perfect condition. Personal purchase of a Sony a1 II as a second body.

As for the body, which I had already used, it is simply excellent, and corrects the few shortcomings of the Sony a1 (adjusted colour rendering, screen ergonomics...).

Overall excellence choice

The delivery was top-notch - fast and zero-hassles. It was delivered to me, in Romania, in about a week, and the experience was just like for a local package.

The Z6 III & 28-400 are excellent. I do heavy photography while traveling. Paired with an ultra-wide astro, I have everything I need. I have zero issues with the aperture and possible photo artifacts of such a versatile lens, but then again, I'm not a professional.

On mczdirect.com - their support is pretty slow. I had an issue with a thread that was inside the lens, and they only answered after several attempts saying that they had not received any of the previous inquiries. They offered to have the lens & body checked & cleaned-up by the local Nikon service center, and covered all expenses.

late delivery (2 weeks) but the product is well packaged

The Nikon Z8 is a very good product, with strong performance, but it has a few limitations like all cameras at this level of demand. The autofocus is sometimes temperamental and the battery capacity is very limited, so extra batteries are essential.

As for the Sandisk 128 GB CFexpress card, it tends to get very hot when reading on a computer, and I do not have experience with other brands. Removing this card from the camera is sometimes difficult.

I ordered a Nikon Z 6III body; fast delivery within ten days, very well packaged.
Small issue with the viewfinder eyecup, which collects dust and prevents the screen from showing you the images you’ve just taken! You have to blow on the eyecup to clear the dust.

A versatile zoom that loves landscapes and... travel

A 20 to 70mm range where most competitors start at 24mm: a difference that really makes sense in landscape photography, especially if you want to include a foreground, with excellent sharpness from f4 as well. Of course, indoors f4 is a bit limiting, but a slight increase in ISO and a body with good stabilisation quickly make up for this small shortcoming.

Furthermore, its weight (a little under 500 grams) and its dimensions (99 mm, zoom not extended) made me choose it for travel: this is an excellent lens that does not weigh down the backpack too much! This lens is mounted on my Sony A7CR 95% of the time (I also have a 35 mm f2.8 and a 50mm macro f2.8). I almost forgot: it is weather-sealed, which is valuable when travelling. If I had to do it again, I would buy it again without any hesitation, and from MCZDIRECT, where it came from, just like my camera body!

I won’t go back over the quality of the Nikon Z 135mm f/1.8 S Plena lens, a dream come true. In addition to the optical quality, the item was delivered in the original Nikon packaging plus everything needed to protect it properly. To finish on a high note, the delivery was exemplary: tracking and timings. To top it all off: a price that beat all competition, with excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

A hassle-free purchase of a great camera body

I bought the Sony A7CR body as a travel body and for landscape photography: in that respect, its compact dimensions and weight are, for me, a key factor. In addition, its 61 megapixel sensor offers great possibilities for significant cropping, which means I can almost always manage with a heavy, bulky telephoto lens (I paired it with a 20-70mm zoom). Admittedly, this camera is not ideal for wildlife or sports photography, but it meets all my expectations for the type of photography I do. One downside: Sony had to make certain compromises in favour of compactness; the one I regret most is the disappearance of the "AEL" button; however, this can be corrected by assigning that function to a programmable button. In short, a purchase I absolutely do not regret, especially since I bought it at an unbeatable price from MCZDIRECT, which I discovered on this occasion. A transaction that went through without the slightest problem...

As expected of a lens at this price, with a few pleasant surprises too in terms of sharpness. Of course, comparing it with an L series makes no sense. And yet, although it is behind, I was surprised to find that the performance gap is not as huge as I had expected. If you stay realistic about the quality/price ratio, it is a great product for anyone who cannot afford an 800mm L series. Up to you to try it...
