It gives a standard stills and movie range of ISO 80-102400, expandable to the equivalent of ISO 409600. In practice, noise, dynamic range and exposure behaviour also change with picture profile, codec and grading method. The useful advantage is not a single headline sensitivity. It is the relationship between large photosites, sensor readout and processing. At concerts, during night documentaries or in a dim interior, this gives the operator more room to preserve an usable image without treating the highest ISO setting as a target in itself.

Autofocus, stabilisation and extended takes

Video autofocus can recognise the human eye, while transition speed and subject-shift sensitivity can be tuned around the scene. These controls matter in an interview where the speaker moves, an event where people cross the frame or a telephoto shot with shallow depth of field. Limitations to understand before choosing

The 12.1MP resolution is the central trade-off. It is well matched to 4K video and useful stills work, but it leaves limited room for heavy cropping. The camera does not record 6K or 8K internally and has no built-in ND filter, both relevant considerations for certain productions. High-frame-rate 4K also creates demanding files and may require faster media alongside a suitably capable editing computer.
