Sony's original Nano AR coating suppresses internal reflections to ensure outstanding image contrast and beautiful clarity. The XA element, in combination with the 11 diaphragm blades, makes that subjects are sharp in focus while the background is faded with bokeh effect. In addition, the lens has two DDSSMs (Direct Drive Super Sonic wave Motor) that make a floating focus system and make the AF fast, quiet and accurate – thus, it is the ideal choice for shooting both pictures and movies.
